A Special Called Work Session of the City Council will be held at Springville City Hall on Monday. September 21, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

The following item will be considered:

  • Discuss agenda items/potential agenda items

The regular meeting of the City Council will be held at 6:00 p.m. immediately following the work session.

The Board of Adjustments will hold a special-called meeting on Thursday, September 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 160 Walker Drive.

The following item will be considered:

  • A variance request by the St. Clair County Board of Education to utilize property located at 140 Purple Heart Blvd, zoned B-2, General Business District, as a Virtual Academy for students of the St. Clair County school district participating in courses online, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A public hearing will be held for the above-mentioned agenda item prior to consideration.

The City of Springville Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a work session with a regularly scheduled meeting and public hearing on September 15, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. for the following items:

  • Gregory Allen, 43 Gin Street- Rezoning request from R1-Single Family Residential District to R4-Garden Home District.
  • Sweetwater Subdivision, Phase Nine and Ten Preliminary Plat review for approval.
  • Zoning Recommendation for newly annexed property located at 131 Fern Creek Circle.
  • Review for recommendation to City Council an amendment to General Business Regulations Article VI, Section 3.1.6, regarding approval process for joint use properties.

UPDATE: Meeting will be held In-person with masks and social distancing procedures in place at City Hall, 160 Walker Dr.
